Is it free to become a Blit It Designer?
Yes, completely! All you have to do is sign up at designer.blitit.com to get started.
Do I still own the rights to my design if I put it up in Poly?
Yes, completely! Blit It will never claim ownership of a design you created and submitted to Poly.
So what does Blit It get out of this deal?
If you choose to upload your design for free, Blit It simply gets the pleasure of helping people print your masterpiece.
If you sell your design, much like a normal retail store, Blit it takes a cut of sales in order to keep things running smoothly, provide support, help you market your designs, and develop new features and guides for you and your customers.
Right now Blit It’s cut is one third, meaning you keep two thirds of every sale.
Can I submit an open source design to Poly?
Yes! 3D printing is a very open community and we are a part of that community. As long as you follow the terms of the license for that design, you may submit open source designs to Poly.
If you are the originator of the design, you may submit the design to Poly under any license you wish.
